Homer and Marge, the two main characters of the show are Husband and Wife. They met when they were younger without knowing who each other was before they met again properly in the Springfield high school. They have had three weddings. The couple has a really strong marriage which has survived and endured cheating, amnesia and numerous arguments. They fell in love in their high school senior year. Despite having completely opposite personalities, Homer and Marge love each other the most and put a lot in their marriage.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Simpsons couple.

Homer, Jay Simpson Olsen was born on May 12, 1956. He is the main lead of the show. He is the husband of Marge Simpson and dad of Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson. Homer is overweight (apparently around 240 lbs), lazy, sluggish, and usually oblivious to the world around him. Although Homer has a lot of flaws, at many occasions, he has proved that he is really caring, loving, and even strong enough to sacrifice for those he genuinely cares about and, sometimes, even others he doesn’t. He was shown as the main lead in both the animated TV series and the 2007 animated film adaptation. Homer is named after the Simpsons creator Matt Groening’s late father, Homer Groening.

Homer’s looks are that of an obesity balding person. Despite his overweight state, and hatred for workouts and exercise, he has on occasion shown unexpected physical courage and agility for a human of his body type, for example, while training for Whacking Day and he hit several pop-up Snakes with kicks and even back-flipped. He is bald because of several reasons Like whenever he found out Marge was pregnant, he would tear out a large amount of his hair. One more reason is that he worked at the nuclear plant for so many years that the exposure to radioactivity has made most of his hair fall out. One more common thing on Homer’s obesity is his large buttock which is often joked about by his son Bart. He has blue eyes and is 6 feet tall (183 cm). He mostly wears a white polo shirt, blue jeans, white underpants, and gray slip-on shoes.

Homer’s job is of a low-level safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in Sector 7G, although he is usually inefficient and careless towards his work. He spends a big part of his time at Moe’s Tavern with his lifelong friends Barney, Carl, Lenny, and the bartender Moe. At his home, he can usually be found sitting on the sofa mindlessly watching TV while eating snacks and drinking Duff. He is the only son of Abe and Mona. When Homer gets aggravated, he strangles Bart for pressuring him. Even though he dislikes Patty and Selma, he pretended as Selma’s husband so she could adopt Ling. As a consequence of this, Homer is actually the legal adoptive father of Ling Bouvier.[15]

Simpsons character creator Matt groening may just portrayed homer as an ordinary man, but he has had many high achievements and happenings in his life. He has won a Grammy, an Academy Award, a Pulitzer Prize, been to space, and has saved Springfield on several occasions.

Marge Bouvier was born on October 1st which is not the confirmed date as in another episode she said that she was born in February. She is the youngest daughter of her family. She has two older sisters, the boring twins, Patty and Selma, both of who intensely dislike Homer.

Marge went to the Springfield Elementary school and in her senior year, she and Homer Simpson met. She was suspicious of Homer in the beginning but said yes to have a study date with him, just to find out that Homer was simply doing this to get her to go to prom with him. She actually went with Artie Ziff. Artie drives her home and she later picks up Homer, who was walking home, in her car. Marge tells him how much she disliked going to the prom with Artie instead of him. Later, her sisters explicated their dissatisfaction towards him and eventually thinks he was simply wrong for her. Though, Selma does show that she is willing to make a genuine effort to like Homer for Marge’s sake, making him have a better opinion of her, whereas Patty has never tried and is always on Marge’s case to leave Homer, therefore, she and Homer hate each other.

Marge spends her maximum time doing household work, looking after Maggie, being supportive of and pampering Lisa and either controlling or defending Bart from Homer’s anger. She is the only member of the family who’s religious and encourages church frequenting. She also seems to have a notable athletic skill. She is bilingual, being completely smooth in French. Her marriage to Homer is also quite strong. They once refused to take part in a key party as quickly as they apprehended what a key party was and quickly left, although Homer also took the key jar with them, most expected to get his car keys.

Simpsons character creator Matt Groening made her skin yellow just like other Simpsons characters. she has blue hair styled into a towering wavy beehive hairdo She normally wears a long green dress, red footwear, and a red necklace. The necklace is said to be a family heirloom and she is seen to have a big drawer reserved of them. Marge said that she used to have a “perfect 26-26-26” figure in the past.[29] She is considered as extremely beautiful and physically charming person.
